23/07/2002 - A seminar to help independent producers' develope their own projects will be held in December organised by ACE

The initiative «Ateliers du Cinéma européen» (ACE) organises with the support of the MEDIA programmean intensive one-week workshop in Paris in December to help independent producers develop their film projects. Applicants must have already produced a long film and have the rights to a script, they want to develop with the assistance of the ACE.
The first phase of this initiative begins with three working days in November (from 12 to 14). Apart from a first presentation of the projects, there will be an analytical treatment of all aspects of the development phase with case studies, market analysis, discussions with experts and film presentations. From that moment on, there will begin a one-year intensive collaboration of the participants with world known professionals, who will assist them to all phases from developing their project to looking for international partners in film festivals and fairs. The ACE - network will further give them the opportunity to exchange information and experience with potential partners, international experts and financiers. After the first year it will be possible to join the network.
Among the mentors are Simon Perry, René Cleitmann, Yves Marmion, Roberto Cicutto, René Bonnell, Ulrich Felsberg, Lynda Myles, Aline Perry, Alain Rocca, Mark Shivas and Karl Baumgartner.
