The film – shooting of which will wrap up in the province of Cádiz in mid May – centres on a spectacular robbery carried out by four women motivated by the desire for revenge. In a move that recalls the director’s earlier productions, the film combines disparate genres such as social drama, action cinema and detective film.

Díaz Yanes’ growing reputation enabled him to secure a budget in the region of €12m and put together a cast that includes stars Victoria Abril (who once again plays the prostitute Gloria Duque from Nobody Will Speak of Us When We’re Dead, for which she won the Silver Shell at the San Sebastián Film Festival and the Goya for Best Actress 13 years ago), Ariadna Gil, Pilar López de Ayala, Elena Anaya and Mexican actor Diego Luna.

The film will be lensed by Paco Femenía. Díaz Yanes has chosen Salvador Parra as art director for the fourth consecutive time after he collaborated on Nobody Will Speak of Us…, No News from God and Alatriste. José Salcedo will edit the film.

Sólo quiero caminar is the first feature to be produced by the new film division of audiovisual production company Boomerang TV, following the recent appointment of José Manuel Lorenzo as executive president. The other co-producers are Antena 3 Films (subsidiary of the Antena 3 Group) and Canana Films (founded by Pablo Cruz and actors Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna).
