by Grethe Bøe was awarded the City of Malmö’s Children and Young People’s Film Award and its €5,500 cash prize.

The jury of the 25th BUFF International Film Festival for Children and Youth included Thomas Hailer from the Berlinale’s Generation sidebar, Dutch producer Leontine Petit (Lemming Film), Lynn Ljungberg and Cornelia Röjner from Malmö’s Cultural Committee, and Bengt Hall, head of Culture Affairs for the City of Malmö.

The Ten Lives… was produced by Cornelia Boysen for Nordisk Film A/S. The film previously received a Special Mention from the Berlinale 2008 ’s Generation KPlus Jury. Nordisk Film International Sales is handling world distribution.

Denmark’s Fighter by Natasha Arthy received the Swedish Church Award (€5,500), Keith by US filmmaker Todd Kessler the Film Factory for Young People & BUFF’s Youth Jury Award, and Holland’s Doggie Koest by Simone van Dusseldrop the County Council of Skåne Short Film Award.
