Veteran sales agent Sharon Harel has launched the new London-based sales outfit WestEnd Films with her colleagues from Capitol and ThinkFilm, Eve Schoukroun and Maja Amsellem.

Harel, who co-founded Capitol Films before selling it off to David Bergstein’s Group two years ago, intends to handle six to eight movies a year.

The first film announced is City Island, a US drama by Raymond de Felitta starring Andy Garcia, which was presented to potential co-financiers at the European coproduction market in Berlin last February. Harel told Cineuropa more exciting projects will be announced during Cannes.
