Bride Flight flies into cinemas
By far the biggest release of the week on Dutch screens is the much-anticipated romantic epic Bride Flight [+see also:

The story of four Dutch immigrants – three young women and one male adventurer – who move there in the 1950s, was made by the same team as the Oscar-nominee Twin Sisters, which sold over a million tickets in 2002. Bride Flight will be released on 97 screens today, courtesy of A-Film.
Two UK productions, the historical Saving Grace and youth-oriented Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging, will also be released today. The former will be playing on ten screens for Benelux Film Distributors, while the latter will be available on 33 locations for Universal Pictures Benelux.
Two Cannes Competition titles will get much smaller releases today. The 2007 Japanese drama The Mourning Forest will be out on five screens for Filmmuseum, while the latest Dardenne brothers drama, Lorna’s Silence [+see also:

film profile], will be playing on seven screens for the Dutch arm of Belgian distributor Cinéart .
Lastly, two US releases packing in plenty of testosterone, Max Payne and Sex Drive, will be hitting 50 and 41 screens for Warner Bros and Independent Films, respectively.
