European Film Promotion (EFP) has appointed the jury that will select the new emerging acting talents of Europe that will take part in the initiative Shooting Stars 2009 at the Berlin Film Festival (February 5-15, 2009).

This year’s jury comprises Belgian filmmaker Marion Hänsel, Spanish producer Antonio Saura, British film historian Peter Cowie, Portuguese casting director Patricia Vasconcelos and Macedonian actress Labina Mitevska.

The jury will make their selection from among 18 new faces nominated by EFP member organisations. Of these, only ten will attend the Berlinale, where a number of PR events will give them the opportunity to meet casting directors and members of the international film industry.
