, which walked away empty-handed from the Golden Globes. Matteo Garrone’s film was did not make it into the pre-selection of nine films, from the 67 that were put forth in the Best Foreign Language Film category at the 81° edition of the Academy Awards, which will be held on February 22.

Released on a few screens in the US in order to compete in the Best Film category as well, the Italian film, however, has few chances in the running for the main Oscar, given the strength of the American films in competition.
