(Generation) – producer Bertrand Faivre continues to forge ahead and take on numerous projects.

In the second half of 2009, shooting will kick off on Fabienne Berthaud’s dramatic comedy Pieds nus sur les limaces (“Bare Feet on Slugs”). The director will reunite with German actress Diane Kruger, star of her 2005 film Frankie [+see also:

Adapted from Berthaud’s eponymous novel, the story centres on the comfortably married Clara who must assume responsibility for her sister, who is overly sensitive and vulnerable in her relations with the outside world, after the sudden death of their mother.

This winter, shooting will also get underway on Blindé (“Thick-skinned”) by Luc Pagès (A+ Pollux). Adapted from US writer Douglas Kennedy’s novel The Job, the film will star Clovis Cornillac and Julien Boisselier.

Cornillac will also appear in another production by Le Bureau: Dans la tourmente (“In the Storm”) by Christophe Ruggia (The Kid from Chaaba and The Devils). Set to shoot in 2010, this social thriller will also feature Mathilde Seigner.

on March 18. Faivre expects to release four-five films per year on small print runs of around 10, focusing on English-language titles by promising young directors who have difficulties finding a French distributor.
