- French distributor makes its production debut with a new Italian film

Buena Vista France is to make its debut in the film production arena with an Italian film directed by Gabriele Muccino and entitled Ricordati di me. Buena Vista is France’s fifth most important theatrical distributor thanks to its long-standing successful partnership with Gaumont that created Gaumont Buena Vista International (GBVI), headed by Jean- François Camilleri. The company decided to join forces with Italian producer and distributor, Domenico Procacci’s Fandango Films by contributing 20 per cent of the new film’s Euros5million budget. Ricordati di Me is the follow up to the Rome-born director’s The Last Kiss, starring this year’s winner of the Coppa Volpi in Venice (for Un Viaggio Chiamato Amore), Stefano Accorsi and GBVI is scheduled to release The Last Kiss onto 160 French screens on 6 November.
Buena Vista France intends continuing down the film production road with Gaumont productions and co-productions.
