10/10/2002 - The city in the South of France holds a ten day review of the most recent Spanish films and a retrospective on Amenabar

The 7th edition of the Cinespaña will run in Toulouse, France from 10-20 October 2002. Thirty cinemas situated in the French region that lies south of the Pyrenées will screen the eleven Spanish feature films in competition for the “Golden Violet” award including this year’s winner of the best film Goya, Intacto, by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, Vicente Aranda’s Joan the Mad starring Pilar Lopez de Ayala (who won the best actress Goya) as well as the latest films by Victor Garcia Leon and Joaquin Oristell. The programme also includes some thirty films starring young Iberian actors, a retrospective of Spanish classics features, shorts and documentaries.
