- Eight kids cross the Mediterranean for a rave party in Volle Maan. A 100 per cent Dutch production for Johan Nijenuis’s second feature film

Volle Maan (Full Moon), the second feature film directed by Johan Nijenhuis was released onto 100 Dutch screens on 10 October by courtesy of Independent Films/Universal, who hope to repeat the success of Nijenhuis’s debut, Costa!, that was seen by almost 750,000 people.
Volle Maan is the story of eight youngsters who travel the Mediterranean Sea in search of a “rave” called the “Full Moon Party” (hence the title) that becomes a life-changing event for them.
This film was co-produced by NL Film, founded by Nijenhuis and Alain de Levita, both former producers respectively at Endemol and Dutch broadcaster BNN, with a budget of over Euros3 million from the Netherlands Film Fund, BNN, the Cobo Fund and Chios Media.
Volle Maan is an entirely Dutch production that was made on location in the Balearic Islands from April to June of this year, and the cast includes Daan Schuurmans and Georgina Verbaan who also starred in Nijenhuis’s directorial debut.
