Hayo Freitag’s German film The Three Robbers [+see also:

film profile] won Best Feature at the 5th AnimaBasauri-AnimaBasque International Animated Film Festival, which was held in Basauri and other towns in the province of Biscay from March 20-27.

The €8,000 prize was awarded by a jury composed of Joanes Urkixo, Vivien Halas, Sami Natsheh, Francisco Ureña, Jossie Malis and José María Goenaga.

Meanwhile, Jérémy Clapin’s French title Skhizein triumphed in the shorts category. The film recounts the misfortunes of a man who, after being struck by a meteorite, has to adjust to living 91 centimetres out of sync with himself.
