Video of the press conference organised to present the 60th Venice Film Festival's main jury. Head of the jury was the Italian director Mario Monicelli, who said "I prefer the films that I could never have made myself. I certainly won’t favour comedy. I’d like to see films like the ones made by Wenders and Antonioni."
He expressed his pleasure to be back for the 3rd time at the Venice Festival and speaks about his appointment as jury president and the work carried out by the team.
Their main duty is to select the films presented during the festival and award a Golden Lion for best film and several Silver Lions. The Golden Lion for best film presented during the 60th edition was won by Andrej Zvjagintsev for his Vozrašcenje (The Return).
The jury included cinematographer Michael Ballhaus, producer Monty Montgomery, actor Stefano Accorsi, director Ann Hui, writer-director Pierre Jolivet and actress Assumpta Serna.
