Kerem Ayan, Deputy Director at Instanbul Film Festival, is currently in Cannes watching about 6 films per day. It is very stressful, but, according to him, this effort does worth the aim to have the best programming at Istanbul. Of course, being in such a nice city, is a plus value for guests, cinephiles, and general patrons, but he states that strategies to get attention from the public and respect from professionals are many, and all of them must be applied. Mr. Ayan advises young film festival directors to be careful with Politics: it always make problems in film festivals, especially when they are sponsored by a public institutions.
