Written by Arnaud Viard and adapted from the eponymous collection of short stories by Anna Gavalda, the film tells the story of a family of brothers and sisters, Jean-Pierre (44), Juliette (42), Margaux (31) and Mathieu (30). The siblings’ relationships with each other are sketched out via collective and individual narrative episodes, as well as a crossover episode that focuses on a key moment in the characters’ lives.

Produced by Marc-Benoît Creditor for Easy Tiger, I Wish Someone Were Waiting For Me Somewhere has a budget of €3.8 million including co-production and its pre-purchase by France 2 Cinéma. Also pre-purchased by OCS, the feature film received funding from the regions of Ile-de-France and Bourgogne. Seven weeks of filming will take place from 20 August to 4 October in Paris, its suburbs and Dijon. French distribution will be driven by UGC Distribution and international sales will be handled by Orange Studio.
