The 2018 edition of Filmmaker Festival will run from 16 to 24 November in Milan. At the heart of the event, as always, will be documentary film and research. Seven sections include a total of 82 titles, 16 of which will be in world premiere and 11 in Italian premiere. The opening film will be Monrovia, Indiana by Frederick Wiseman, while the closing film, traditionally entrusted to an Italian director, will be Chaco [+lee también:

The most international of Italian contemporary directors, Luca Guadagnino, will present his "White Paper"dedicated to Roberto Rossellini and Peter Del Monte, in collaboration with the CSC - National Film Library.

After a pilot edition in 2015 and two subsequent successful editions welcoming over 300 accredited professionals from all over Italy, the Milan Film Network will be back, in collaboration with the festival, for two days of professional pitches and networking regarding the Italian film industry. Milan Industry Days (21 to 22 November 2018) will be presenting its independent Italian cinema support activities to an audience of film and audiovisual professionals, including film projects currently in development, In Progress workshop finalists and the working copies of feature films selected for L'Atelier, as well as its financial fund for Italian films in post-production.
