Danish international sales agent TrustNordisk is making its way to Berlin with an impressive line-up. In total, 16 of its films and projects are participating either in the 69th Berlin International Film Festival (7-17 February) or in the European Film Market (EFM, 7-15 February).

Starting with the Official Competition, Norwegian director Hans Petter Moland is returning to Berlin five years after his successful black comedy In Order of Disappearance [+lee también:

. An adaptation of the Per Petterson novel of the same name, the film is set in November 1999, with Stellan Skårsgard playing the lead role as a lonely 67-year-old widower called Trond, who is looking forward to spending New Year’s Eve 2000 on his own. However, as winter arrives, Trond finds out that he now has a neighbour – a man he knew 50 years ago and who marked his life forever after a decision made by his father when he was a teenager.

At the EFM, TrustNordisk will bring the winner of Göteborg’s Dragon Award Best Nordic Film (see the news), Queen of Hearts [+lee también:

Two Danish films, the fantasy-adventure sequel The Shamer's Daughter II: The Serpent Gift by Ask Hasselbalch and the family-fantasy movie Wildwitch by Kaspar Munk, are also among the company’s market screenings. Finally, the selection is rounded off by two mini-series, the Zentropa-produced period family adventure Finding Home by Christian E Christiansen and the Swedish drama A Wedding, Funeral & a Christening by Colin Nutley.

Finally, as for pre-sales, the as-yet untitled new feature by Thomas Vinterberg is heading up the selection. Co-penned by the director and Tobias Lindholm, the story follows four high-school teachers who launch a drinking experiment. The rest of the pre-sales include Daniel by Niels Arden Oplev, the tragic story of freelance photographer Daniel Rye, who was captured while working in Syria in 2013 (see the news), and the second instalment in the successful Norwegian fantasy-adventure series The Ash Lad – In Search of the Golden Castle by Mikkel Brænne Sandemose.
