The story of the film (which is billed as a romantic comedy), written by Viktor Oszkár Nagy and Márton Bárány, revolves around big, brawny Gyula (35, played by András Ötvös), who is a true football fan. The "Kinizsi Black Army" – a racist gang of hooligans - are his second family. He has two really important people in his life: the leader of the gang, Alex (40 - Szabolcs Thuróczy), and Mariann (35 - Angéla Stefanovics), his wife, who desperately wants a baby. It turns out that Gyula is infertile, so their only option is to adopt. This plan fails, however, because Gyula is caught up in one of his regular violent clashes in the streets. In her desperation, Mariann chooses an illegal path. She closes a deal with a pregnant, teenage Gypsy girl (Lüszi, 16 - Viola Lotti Gombó) living in state foster care: they will adopt the girl's unwanted newborn and pretend that it was Mariann who gave birth. This crazy plan changes their lives forever…

Produced by Sára László and Marcell Gerő for Campfilm, Bullhorn Lullaby is being co-produced by Sparks Camera & Lighting, and has secured support from the Hungarian National Film Fund and the Hungarian tax credit. The project, which was supported at the development stage by the FilmJus Foundation, also took part in the EAVE (European Audiovisual Entrepreneurs) programme in 2017. The shoot will take place across various different locations in Budapest from 1 July-30 August, with István Kürti in charge of the cinematography. The Hungarian theatrical distribution will be handled by Vertigo Media, while the international sales are being overseen by HNFF World Sales.

As a reminder, one particular title that really stands out in Campfilm’s catalogue is the documentary Cain’s Children [+lee también:
