Internationalisation and genre film will be the main focuses at the eighth edition of the International Independent Film Meeting (MICI19), which will take place from 6-8 December 2019 in Como, in conjunction with the Noir in Festival.

MICI19 will unspool over three days, with three kinds of activity being organised: conferences, a market and a workshop.

The two conferences included in the programme will home in on topics related to independent film and audiovisual production, and on the funding opportunities available on the European level. The market will revolve around three daily pitching sessions: Co-producing With Switzerland, intended for producers; Genre Film, also aimed at producers; and Pitch2Script, reserved for auteurs. Meanwhile, the workshop will zoom in on the new “Call for Selective Subsidies for Cinematic Works Following a Co-production or International Minority Joint Partnership Model”.
