NEM Zagreb, an event aimed at developing the TV and movie industry in Central and Eastern Europe, which will take place from 11-13 December this year, has announced its guest list and full programme.

The event will host the very first screenings of TV shows from the biggest production companies, such as CBS Studios International (USA), BBC Studios, all3media international (both UK), Keshet International and yes Studios (both Israel). AMC Networks International executive Harold Gronenthal will give a keynote speech and share his experience of working on the global distribution of broadcasting rights for Breaking Bad.

American producer-writer Frank Spotnitz (Big Light Production) will speak about his work for Netflix and Amazon, especially The Man in the High Castle and Medici, as well as The X-Files.

Actor Billy Campbell, the star of Dynasty, Frasier and Melrose Place, who is currently starring in the TV show Cardinal, is coming along to share his experiences of shooting in icy conditions in Canada. British producer Gabrielle Tana, nominated for an Oscar and two BAFTA Awards for Philomena [+lee también:

, will talk about the financing of independent films.

The CEO of Apple Film Productions, Dariusz Jablonski, will introduce the TV show The Pleasure Principle, the first co-production between three Eastern European countries (Poland, the Czech Republic and Ukraine), distributed by Germany's Beta Film.

Oscar-winning production designer Allan Starski and cinematographer Vanja Černjul will speak about the creation of worlds for a show’s characters and the atmosphere generated in a series, while Kris Marshall (Love Actually [+lee también:

) will provide an insight into filming the TV series Sanditon, produced by BBC Studios.

Various TV experts and content creators will come bearing news about unscripted series formats, the expansion of original productions and the growing production of non-English content.

Representatives of Beta Film, HRT, Croatian private broadcasters Nova TV and RTL, Italy's RAI, Keshet, the UK's Zig Zag Productions and CineLink Industry Days (Bosnia and Herzegovina) will make up the panel of judges for the TV Writing Contest being organised by NEM Zagreb. The best candidates in each category (scripted and unscripted) will present their projects to all of the participants in the panel room, and the winners will get a €5,000 prize.

Croatian and Slovenian national broadcasters HRT and RTV Slovenia, respectively, will present new TV series that they have produced themselves – namely, an avant-premiere screening of the documentary show The Age of Uskoks and the series The Lake.
