Written by Carine May and Hakim Zouhani themselves, the story unfolds in the Jacques Prévert school in the Parisian outskirts, an establishment whose existence is threatened by the arrival of a swanky, eco-friendly hall of residence and its shiny, new school building. Worried about losing what little social diversity her school still has, headteacher Zahia joins forces with a young, socially engaged and newly qualified teacher called Marion to try to turn her stricken establishment into the first “green school” of the Parisian suburbs. But she will need the help of her rather motley school crew, who aren’t particularly interested in nature…

Save Our School is produced by Barbara Letellier and Carole Scotta on behalf of Haut et Court, in co-production with France 2 Cinéma. Pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film also enjoys the support of the Ile-de-France region, as well as finance from the CNC’s Images of Diversity fund, and further backing from Procirep, Angoa and the SOFICA companies Cofinova and La Banque Postale Images. Photography is helmed by Antoine Monod while the film’s music is entrusted to Yusek. Its release in French cinemas will be steered by Haut et Court, and international sales by France TV Distribution.

For the record, Haut et Court are currently overseeing post-production on Olivier Babinet’s Normale [+lee también:
