), takes her time and good care of her rare directing stints, once every 10 years. Indeed, after co-directing When the Sea Rises with Gilles Porte in 2004 (which won her the César for Best First Film and Best Actress), then Henri in 2013, presented in Directors' Fortnight, she is back with Même au milieu des ruines, for which she once again wrote the screenplay, and in which she will play the lead role.

La fiancée du poète follows the trajectory of Mireille Stockaert, a lonely and broken woman. A lover of painting and poetry, she makes do with her job as a waitress in the cafeteria of the Namur School of Fine Arts. Her life is turned upside down when she chooses to live in the large family house she inherits. Three men will upset her routine and prepare her, without knowing it, for the return of a fourth, her great young love.

The director will therefore play the role of Mireille Stockaert, a complex role that she has taken great pleasure in imagining, a somewhat strange woman, "evaporated from the jar," as the director says, but also very manipulative – probably a way of taking on a darker role than those she is usually given.

She will be joined by a strong cast, surrounding herself with three actors with very different profiles: Sergi Lopez, who is a regular for Belgian filmmakers (we saw him in Marion Hansël's latest film Upstream [+lee también:

Also announced in the cast are Anne Benoît, Thomas Guy, Yolande Moreau's accomplices from the Deschiens, François Morel and Philippe Duquesne, as well as singer William Sheller, and Aïssatou Diallo Sagna (the revelation of The Divide [+lee también:
