VOYAGE SANS RETOUR

by François Gérard

synopsis

Kad, a young gang boss in the high-rise suburbs of Toulouse, finds himself obliged to lie low for a while after scamming a drug trafficking gang. His friends hence send him abroad to a humanitarian association. However, the association turns out to be a terrorist recruiting network. Lost and without his bearings, Kad is transported from London to Mumbai and from Pakistan to Afghanistan, where he is trained in jihad camps. Once back in Mumbai, he encounters Nadine, a French teacher at the Alliance Française, who will open up his mind and his heart. He then becomes aware of the vacuousness of his life, his rash decisions and the impasse in which he now finds himself. It is at this point that his new friends remember him and send him back to France to carry out terrorist attacks.
