synopsis

The period drama recounts the way of life in the island of Andros, where the only way for a man to bring food to the table is to go out to sea and get it, while their wives and families wait for the sailors’ return for months on end. A tormented love triangle starts to develop, once the country and its seamen start being dragged into the chaotic tempest of World War II.
