DEAR ENEMY

by Gjergj Xhuvani

synopsis

Albania, September 1943. Fascist Italy capitulates. After the rout, a partisan, an Albanian collaborator, a wounded Italian soldier, a tracked down Jew, a German officer, a grand-mother and her children take refuge at Harun's, a small shopkeeper. The house becomes then a real Babel Tower. A story of small cowardice, nascent friendships and daily heroisms takes place.
