synopsis

Bonnie, nine, is an only child and lives with her mother and grandmother. All three love elephants. Bonnie longs for a brother or sister, and while her mother is not eager to give in to her demands, to make Bonnie happy she arrives home one day with a new playmate for Bonnie ... an elephant.
