synopsis
In Friesland, in northern Holland, a competition for the sportsman of the 20th century is being held, which Taeke Jongsma, the polesitter wins. The film recounts the turbulent life with much humour and romanticism how Taeke sacrifices everything, even his girlfriend, in order to beat the world polesitting record.
