synopsis

Claire, 17 year-old, steals cauliflowers from her parents in order to buy some textiles to embroider. She finds shelter and work at Mrs Melikian, a fashion embroiderer. Five-months pregnant, se decides to keep the baby and hides it from her parents under several pullovers. Day after day, her pregnancy is beginning to make her stomach swell. Stitch after stitch, the art of embroidery passes between the two women and they slowly create a master to apprentice, a mother to daughter relationship.
