by Diego Ronsisvalle

synopsis

In 2000, Danielle Russo – a young writer for the Paris magazine Nouvelle Revue Littéraire – is sent to Taormina to investigate Truman Capote’s stay in the “Pearl of the Ionian Sea” in 1950. The investigation leads her to discover hidden “truths” with the timely help of a local journalist, who in turn is researching a mysterious crime which took place during that period. A group of intellectuals and habitual visitors to Taormina are implicated: André Gide, Truman Capote, Jack Dunphy, Peggy Guggenheim, Jean Cocteau and Jean Marais.
