CHACO

by Daniele Incalcaterra, Fausta Quattrini

synopsis

“El Impenetrable”, my previous film, tells the story of a family inheritance: 5,000 hectares of virgin forest, half the area of Paris. As protagonist and director of the film, I pursued the notion of returning this “inherited land” to its original people: the Guarani Ñandevas. In order to save the 5,000 hectares from deforestation, I decided to create a perpetual nature reserve which we called Arcadia.
