LOW PROFILE

by Christoph Hochhäusler

synopsis

Low profile tells the story of a young man who plays with his identity by living a life which isn’t his, and confessing to things he hasn’t done.
For, although Armin longs to escape the oppressive care of his parents, to have his own experiences and to find out who he is, he remains trapped in the world of the suburbs where everything is set so cosily. And then there is the beautiful Katja, who appears unattainable to him...
So Armin drifts slowly into an in-between state where it is unclear how much reality, in the end, remains. When he finally wins his beloved Katja, he has, however, lost everything.
