LUCY

by Henner Winckler

synopsis

Maggy is an 18 year-old single mother. She lives with her mother and has broken up with the father of her daughter, Lucy. One evening, Maggy meets Gordon at a disco and falls in love with him. After an argument with her mother, she suddenly decides to move in with him. She hadn’t looked after her child very well until then, but despite this, she takes Lucy with her and raises her with Gordon. At the beginning, he is very proud of his new father role, but living together requires more effort than the couple expected. Maggy and Gordon are lost and don’t know how to manage their life – they have only a vague idea. Gordon gradually becomes more distant and Maggy is increasingly obliged to manage all by herself.
