Film Europe lance Be2Can, son propre festival
Winter Sleep by Nuri Bilge Ceylan

Cet article est disponible en anglais.

Film Europe, a major distributor of European films and a provider of the Film Europe Channel, has started up its own film festival, Be2Can. “Berlin, Venice and Cannes – these are the three largest and most influential international film festivals in Europe. Their programmes stand for quality and also determine the trend of global cinematography,” remarks the president of the Film Europe Media Company, Ivan Hronec. “Their meaning lies not only in films, but also in the macrodramatics of the festival selection process.” The new festival will reflect these major film events and will bring award-winning titles to audiences in Slovakia and the Czech Republic much faster.

“Be2Can is not only about movies and their awards. We would like to help Czech and Slovak film fans to better understand the structure and dramaturgy of major film festivals, and bring them closer insight into their backstage,” Hronec says, highlighting the project’s aim to enlighten audiences.

Be2Can is taking place from 6-15 October in selected cinemas in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
