, is said to be inspired by real events. The protagonist of the movie is a young boy, Daniel, who becomes very religious while being held in a juvenile detention centre. After leaving the facility, he ends up in a small town, where he befriends a local clergyman. During the latter’s unexpected absence, Daniel poses as a priest and introduces some controversial teachings. Soon, his situation is made even more complicated when people from his past visit the town.

The script was written by Mateusz Pacewicz, and director Komasa is considered one of the most talented and versatile filmmakers of his generation in Poland. He is able to both stage intimate dramas such as Suicide Room [+lire aussi :

The film is being produced by Aurum Film (The Last Family, Dark, Almost Night), and co-produced by Canal+ and WFS Walter Film Studio. The Polish distributor is Kino Świat, while the international sales are being handled by New Europe Film SalesCorpus Christi was supported by the Polish Film Institute and will be presented as a work in progress during Polish Days, the industry event of the 18th New Horizons Film Festival (see the news).
