Produced by Ellen Havenith for PRPL (Netherlands), Misha Jaari and Mark Lwoff for Bufo (Finland), and Katrin Kissa and Elina Litvinova for Homeless Bob Productions (Estonia), the project has benefited from financial support from a number of public bodies – namely, the Eurimages European co-production fund, the Estonian Film Institute, the Estonian Cultural Endowment, the Creative Europe MEDIA programme, Finnish public broadcaster YLE, the Lapland Film Commission and the Netherlands Film Fund. The overall production budget amounted to €1.6 million.

The Last Ones will be distributed by Helsinki-based B-Plan Distribution (a division of Bufo) and will be ready for a domestic theatrical release in autumn 2019.
