(working title: Haven – Above Sky), staged by the same producers, Thomas Wöbke, of Munich-based BerghausWöbke Filmproduktion, and Ruth Waldburger, of Swiss company Vega Film. In addition, the cinematography for this impressive project was entrusted to Markus Förderer, the same sci-fi-savvy DoP who worked on Hell (and who also lensed Roland Emmerich's Independence Day: Resurgence).

This English-language tale, co-scripted by the director and Mariko Minoguchi, is set in the future, after a global catastrophe has wiped out nearly all of humanity. Blake (French actress Nora Arnezeder, known for various series, most recently RivieraMozart in the Jungle and Origin), an elite female astronaut from Space Colony Kepler, is sent back to Earth and tasked with making a decision that will seal the fate of the people on both planets. The film was shot last autumn (from October to November) in Germany and Switzerland. The cast also includes Iain GlenSarah-Sofie BoussninaSope DirisuSebastian RochéJoel Basman and Bella Bading

Tides, co-produced by Constantin Film ProduktionBabelsberg Film and SRF, was backed by the German Federal Film Fund DFFF, the FFF BayernMedienboard Berlin-Brandenburg and Filmförderung Hamburg Schleswig-Holstein German regional funds, as well as the Swiss Federal Office of Culture, the Zurich Film Fund, the Canton of Basel and the FiSS-Filmstandortförderung Schweiz. Constantin Film Verleih will release the movie in Germany later this year or in 2020. The film's international sales are handled by London-based agency Mister Smith Entertainment
