The Visegrad Film Forum (VFF) in Bratislava is one of those glocal – focused on local production but boasting a global perspective and ambition – events that entice guests with their exciting atmosphere and rock-solid programme. The organisers invite seasoned and distinguished filmmakers from all over the world so that they can pass on their expertise, and maybe also their life experience, to younger colleagues.

The five-day gathering, the ninth edition of which starts on 10 March, this year offers a diverse array of lecturers – ranging from a director and an editor to a DoP. They are: helmer Costa-Gavras (The Confession, Z); sound editor Eddy Joseph, who has worked on Bond films (Casino Royale [+lire aussi :

, among others); Molly Malene Stensgaard, who regularly collaborates with Lars von Trier; and, last but not least, cinematographer Paweł Edelman, who will discuss his long-term collaboration with Roman Polański.
