Cinekid for Professionals (CfP), the essential international industry event for everyone working in the children’s media sector, will bring its programme online this year from 19-23 October. The online CfP offers a fully curated programme with panel sessions, keynote speakers and discussions about relevant topics. It also provides opportunities to talk about new projects with the media community. Part of the Cinekid Festival, Cinekid for Professionals aims to enlarge its outreach through a new online platform, which is still under construction, to ensure that people can connect easily. In addition to an online programme for professionals, the public festival will also switch its base to an online platform called Cinekid Thuis (Cinekid@Home).
The Cinekid for Professionals programme includes the two-day Junior Co-production Market on 22 and 23 October. This integrated market enables financiers, broadcasters and producers to assess new and innovative children's projects across the film and television sectors. The third edition of the Industry Forum, which will host the most pressing debates around children’s film, will take place on 19, 20 and 21 October. The Cinekid for Professionals programme, including themes and speakers, will be published this summer.
Cinekid Festival is the largest children’s film festival in the world, with 40 locations across the Netherlands. During the gathering, children aged between three and 14 can watch new, unusual and striking films and television productions, meet their creators, and attend workshops, play games and much more. The festival is slated to be held from 10-25 October 2020. Cinekid for Professionals is the multi-day international industry event for professionals involved in children’s film, television, cross-media, digital arts and media literacy.
