dok.incubator, an international rough-cut training initiative for documentary filmmakers, which provides six months of individual tutoring by top-notch editors, producers and distributors, is celebrating its tenth anniversary, and to mark this occasion, it will hold an online presentation of the eight projects from its 2020 edition on 9 February.

During the presentation, the teams behind the projects from the past year will pitch them to international decision makers, including programmers from Sundance, IDFA, Hot Docs and CPH:DOX, in the hope of securing a release for the upcoming films.

An overview of the projects can be found here, and for the full list, please scroll down.

Andrea Prenghyová, project director of dok.incubator, says: “The film industry has faced many challenges over the past few months, and so have our teams for this year’s programme. When they applied in January 2020, none of us could have imagined the state of the world we find ourselves in today. Our participants, however, most of them fairly new to the industry, have shown remarkable flexibility, creativity and resilience. We want to kick off the year by learning from and celebrating them.”

The online presentation will take place at 4 pm on 9 February, and you can register by sending an email to nela@dok.incubator.net by 5 February.

Each year, dok.incubator selects eight international projects. Since its inception in 2012, the initiative has seen the participation of dozens of international hit titles, including Acasă, My Home [+lire aussi :
