– see the news) and with a screenplay penned by Mireia Llinàs (who cut her teeth on TV series such as Estoy vivo and Cuéntame cómo pasó, as well as having written the script for the film Just a Little Chemistry), this feel-good movie tells of how Miguel (Rovira) and Laura (Suárez) decide to spend the Christmas holidays in a chalet in the mountains with their young children. In the end, Granddad Benigno (Sacristán), who is endowed with magical powers, is unable to go with them, but the kids steal his magic ball, which grants wishes to whoever is in possession of it. With their wishes and a little help from the ball, the children – inadvertently – bring to life some snowmen, wreaking havoc on what was meant to be a peaceful, relaxing family holiday.

In the words of Fernando Colomo himself, Cuidado con lo que deseas “will be a film that awakens the child that lives within us all. That’s what attracted me the most to this project, which enables me to tackle a story that had never even occurred to me before. Here, the protagonists are a couple of kids who are at that age when they still believe that magic can transform the world; a life-affirming time when fiction coexists with reality, and truth with fantasy, and when elements of magic embed themselves in their day-to-day activities.”

Cuidado con lo que deseas, which is aimed at a family audience, is a film produced by Alvaro Longoria for Morena Films (Champions [+lire aussi :

After its theatrical release, Amazon Prime Video will offer the movie via its streaming service, starting from Christmas. Madrid-based sales agent Latidofilms will be in charge of its international sales.
