), accompanied by local actors such as Salvador Serrano (also the film’s screenwriter together with Helio Mira), who will recreate the story of a father who sets out to win back the love of his son, whom he abandoned when he was one year old.

In the words of its director, "Últimas voluntades covers universal themes such as marginality, forgiveness, redemption and homosexuality, from the point of view of the aftermath and consequences for people who have repressed their sexuality throughout their lives. These are common drama themes, but this film incorporates them into a thriller, a story of suspense, of neighbourhood mafias, South American gangs, murders and revenge, among other things".

"Our idea is to give it a stylised tone," the filmmaker adds. "To do this, we are going to use a series of directing decisions, such as placing greater emphasis on the visual aspect where the dialogues act as a support or complement, which will help us to create tension and hold the viewer’s attention, who will be receiving a lot of quality information".

For its protagonist, Fernando Tejero, "I got this role about six years ago, because they wrote the film with me in mind and it's like a tailored suit; I’ve been involved in the process of getting it off the ground from day one. I told them that if I could help, they could count on me".

"This character has opened up wounds and traumas from my past. It's been hard work, but also wonderful. This profession is a form of therapy. On the first day of filming with Óscar Casas I ended up crying, but getting all that negativity out is very cleansing", admits the actor.

Últimas voluntades is a production of two companies from Murcia –Biopic Films and Maskeline– and the Catalan company La Charito Films, with the participation of RTVE and La7; and with the collaboration of the local councils of Molina de Segura and Fuente Álamo.
