Furthermore, at Industry@Tallinn & Baltic Event, Hilchick, directed by Adam Sanderson and produced by David Mandil, was selected for the Baltic Event Co-Production Market; Talitha Kumi, directed by Hadar Morag and produced by Shira Hochman, was picked for the Script Pool section; and Ruth, directed by Esty Shushan and produced by David Silber and Sivan Cohen, was selected for International Works in Progress.

Additionally, the festival will feature the panel “The Israeli Film Industry Through the Director’s Lens”, in which Israeli directors will discuss the advantages and challenges of working in the Israeli film industry, as well as the difficulties and opportunities in a field that is constantly evolving, along with their sources of inspiration. The panel will be hosted by Osnat Bukofzer, director of International Affairs and Co-production at the Israel Cinema Project, Rabinovich Foundation, and will feature creators Esti Shushan, Ma'ayan Rypp, Nitzan Gilady, Mordechai Vardi, Shahar Rozen, Moshe Rosenthal and Maor Zaguri.

A special tribute will be dedicated to classic Israeli films that have become assets of Israeli culture, and as part of this, three restored versions will be screened: Avanti Popolo by Rafi Bokai, Atash by Tawfik Abu Wael and Big Eyes by Uri Zohar. The tribute is being organised in collaboration with the Israel Film Archive - Jerusalem Cinematheque.

This year’s focus on Israeli cinema has been initiated and co-funded by two film foundations dedicated to supporting Israeli films: the Israel Cinema Project, Rabinovich Foundation, which specialises in full feature films, documentaries and student films alike; and the Israel Film Fund, which focuses on feature films. Both foundations are supported by the Cultural Administration at the Israeli Ministry of Culture and Sport, and the Israeli Council for Cinema. This year’s focus is also co-funded by the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
