Digital Production Challenge II: come essere digital-friendly

Although digital technology is now part of everyday life, a plethora of workflows on one hand and a lack of lasting standards/supports on the other make the work of film professionals more challenging: how to fulfil the demands of the partners? How positioning the films on the market?
Digital Production Challenge II enables professionals to get a better grasp of this complex environment, of the task division between the partners involved, while allowing being more confident in directing, producing and distributing in this ever-evolving digital world. This upcoming edition will take place in Lithuania, Vilnius, from 4-7 November 2015.
The training formula is based on practical case studies: comparison of the most-used workflows in Europe, presentations of different budget ranges (special focus on low and "standard" budgets) by experienced producers and their post-production providers.
Two case studies are already confirmed: the documentary The Salt of the Earth [+leggi anche:
scheda film] by Juliano Ribeiro Salgado and Wim Wenders (Special Prize Cannes in Un Certain Regard 2014, Best Documentary at the French César Awards) and A La Vie [+leggi anche:
scheda film] by Jean-Jacques Zilbermann (premiered at the Locarno Film Festival 2014 and Best Photography at the Lumieres Awards 2015), presented respectively by French producer David Rosier and by cinematographer Rémy Chevrin.
“There are many novelties for this seventh edition. It is the first time that we have organised the seminar in close cooperation with a European film festival, Scanorama”, explains Sophie Bourdon, DPC II’s project manager. “The programme runs for three days instead of two, and it is open to sales agents, distributors, festival and market organisers and Funds, besides filmmakers, cinematographers, producers and post-production professionals.”
