Nine feature-length fiction films and one documentary from Eastern Europe are slated to make an appearance at the 11th edition of the CentEast Market. The chosen projects will be presented by their representatives during the 31st Warsaw Film Festival on 16 October and will repeat the presentations in Moscow three days later. Finally, the projects will be brought to the Beijing Film Market in April 2016 as a part of the China-Eastern Europe Film Promotion Project (CentEast Beijing).

Valentyn Vasyanovych, the editor, co-producer and director of photography of the widely acclaimed Ukrainian drama The Tribe [+leggi anche:

, acted entirely in sign language and without subtitles, is readying a new, as yet untitled, project that he will helm. Besides his editing and DoP duties, and lensing and producing Myroslav Slaboshpitsky's sophomore feature, Luxembourg, he directed, wrote, shot and edited the medium-length documentary Crepuscule. His newest feature, currently in post-production, will be presented in Warsaw. Kazakh director Adilkhan Yerzhanov, who was behind the dark and absurd dramedy The Owners, will have his fourth feature, The Plague at the Karatas Village, now in post-production, introduced by his producer, Olga Khlasheva. , on the subject of initiation into adulthood via a monastery. The fifth feature by Bulgarian director and writer Zornitsa Sophia, Voevoda, also made it onto the list – the 19th-century costume drama centres on the historical figure of Rumena Voevoda, a mother and gang leader, struggling to reconcile the warrior within her and her female side.
