In this, the second of seven rounds of funding planned for 2018, the FFA (which now reports the number of women involved in the projects that it funds) has handed out €3.4m to thirteen German projects that are in the production or development stages. Among the former group is Til Schweiger's Honey in the Head, an international adaptation of his 2014 film Head Full of Honey [+leggi anche:

, which topped the annual film chart in Germany – international films included - with over 7,246,000 viewers. Scripted by British best-selling author Jojo Moyes and produced by the actor/director's company Barefoot Films, this film received €600,000.

A similar sum was received for Martin Schreier's Traumfabrik (lit. 'Dream Factory', produced by Traumfabrik Babelsberg), a love story set in the famous Babelsberg Studios in 1961, as the building of the Berlin Wall cements divisions in the country. Sommerhaus Filmproduktion, meanwhile, received €500,000 for When Hitler Stole Pink Rabbit [+leggi anche:

), an adaptation of Judith Kerr's autobiographical account of her Jewish family’s exile, published in 1971. 

Family entertainment specialist Sven Unterwaldt and his film Sprite Sisters, adapted from the best-selling children's book seriesby Sheridan Winn, earned Blue Eyes Fiction €500,000, while Theresa von Eltz and her film Ostwind 4 – Aris Ankunft [+leggi anche:
