Film Center Serbia has announced the results of its funding competitions in six categories, including minority co-productions of feature-length fiction and documentary films, as well as short fiction and animated films.
Among the winners are some of Europe's most highly acclaimed auteurs. Cristi Puiu's Manor House, co-produced by Romania's Mandragora and Serbia's Sense Production, received €101,634; Sharunas Bartas' In the Dusk, co-produced by Lithuania's Studija Kinema, France's KinoElektron and Serbia's Biberche Productions, was awarded €100,387; Stephan Komandarev's Patrol Cars, a co-production between Bulgaria's Argo Film and Serbia's SEE Film Pro, got €59,263; and Angela Schanelec's I Was at Home, But [+leggi anche:

scheda film], co-produced by Germany's Nachmittag Film and Serbia's Dart Film & Video, received €42,377.
The list of awarded projects also includes three feature debuts by regional filmmakers known for their short films: Awakenings by Jure Pavlović, staged by Croatia’s Sekvenca and Serbia’s Wake Up Films (€42,377); You Have the Night [+leggi anche:

scheda film] by Ivan Salatić, produced by Montenegro’s Meander Film and Serbia’s Non-Aligned Films (€39,817); and After the Winter by Ivan Bakrač, produced by Montenegro’s ABHO and Serbia’s Akcija (€40,062). Additionally, Serbian director Stefan Malešević's first feature, Mamonga [+leggi anche:

scheda film], produced through Bosnia's Sarajevo Film Academy and Serbia’s Nana 143, received €39,961.
Two feature-length documentaries also received funding: Avenge by Slovenia's Marija Zidar, staged by Slovenia’s Vertigo and Serbia’s Baš Čelik (€33,838); and Nun of Your Business by Croatia's Ivana Marinić Kragić, produced by Croatia’s Marinis Media and Serbia’s Platforma (€16,939).
The remaining projects that received backing are the fiction short The Shift by Luka Popadić, staged by Switzerland’s Radar Film and Serbia’s Prababa Produkcija (€16,939); the animated short Murder in the Cathedral by Tvrtko Rаšpulić and Mаtija Pisаčić, produced by Croatia’s Kinematograf and Serbia’s Pаpа Films (€33,857); another animated short, Man Wanted by Irida Zonga, staged by Greece’s Magikon and Serbia’s Mali Budo (€12,696); and the short animated doc Microcassette by Igor Bezinović and Ivana Pipal, produced by Croatia’s Bonobostudio and Serbia’s Theory at Work (€8,471).
