Seven projects have been selected to receive an advance on earnings from the CNC as part of its initial 2019 session: three as part of its first college and four as part of its second. Produced by Les Films de Pierre, Arthur Rambo’s screenplay was written by Fanny Burdino and Samuel Douy and was pitched as follows: Who is Karim D? A young writer committed to success? Or his alias Arthur Rambo, who posts hateful messages that are later unearthed on his Twitter feed?

, the third feature by Emmanuel Carrère (Label Europa Cinemas at the Directors’ Fortnight at Cannes in 2005 with The Moustache, after his documentary Retour à Kotelnitch was screened at Venice in 2003 in the New Territories section), an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Florence Aubenas, with is due to start filming imminently and stars Juliette Binoche in the main role (production: Cinéfrance and Curiosa Films).

Meursault, contre-enquête by Malek Bensmaïl will also be receiving an advance on earnings, an adaptation of the eponymous novel by Kamel Daoud (Goncourt Prize in 2015 for her first novel), the film marks the director’s first foray into the world of fiction after a number of documentaries (including Checks & Balances [+leggi anche:
