The Netherlands Film Fund, the country's main film agency, has announced the recipients of its latest Film Production Incentive. The fourth slate of funding will support the making of 15 new audiovisual projects, including ten international co-productions. These contributions will generate over €24.8 million in production expenditure across the entire spectrum of the Dutch film industry.

The big winners of this slate of funding are two high-end TV series – namely, Niek Koppen and Lourens Blok's The Story of the Netherlands (€1,249,903), and the second season of Van der Valk (€1,188,284), the director of which is yet to be disclosed. The first project, penned by Marteen van der Duin, and co-produced by Pupkin Film and Tuvalu Media, is a ten-episode documentary series exploring how the Netherlands has become the country that it is today, from prehistoric times to the present day. The second series, penned by Chris Murray, and co-produced by NL Film & TV and British outfit Company Television Limited, follows the investigations of the smart and unapologetic titular Dutch detective.

The only animated feature in receipt of support is Wip Vernooij's Two Little Toddlers: An Unforgettable Day (€745,003), co-produced by the firms Nuts & Bolts Film Company, Vosound Records and Submarine Animation. The flick is an enchanting musical adventure revolving around brave toddlers Anna and Joey, who discover everything about the world, and themselves, as they search for an escaped goat called Hap.

Finally, the 12 feature films that will benefit from the incentive are Christian Tafdrup's Benelux (€354,392, produced by Denmark's Profile Pictures and OAK Motion Pictures), Joost van Ginkel's Bo (€75,000, produced by PRPL in co-operation with Belgian partners Savage Film and Natura Film), Jonathan Herman's Bon Bini: Judeska in da House [+leggi anche:
