scheda film], well-received this year in the series En Thérapie and next year in cinemas in Tralala and La vraie famille), Belgian actor Olivier Gourmet (soon in cinemas in Simone, a Woman of the Century and Entre la vie et la mort) and Denis Podalydès (who recently filmed for Tromperie and Les amours d’Anaïs).
Written by Mathias Gokalp, Nadine Lamari (who was already the writing partner of the director on his feature debut) and Marcia Romano (nominated for the 2016 César award for Best Original Screenplay for Standing Tall [+leggi anche:

scheda film]) and adapted from the eponymous autobiographical novel from Robert Linhart (1978 – Éditions de Minuit), the script centres on a brilliant academic who is hired as a simple worker in a car factory in order to prepare for the revolution. When the higher ups force the workers to work unpaid extra hours, he finally sees a way to get involved in the fight. It’s the summer of 1968…
Produced by Antoine Rein, Fabrice Goldstein and Antoine Gandaubert for Karé Productions (which were already behind Rien de personnel), L’Établi is co-produced by France 2 Cinéma, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Cinéma and Belgian company Scope Pictures in co-production. Pre-bought by France 2, Canal+ and Ciné+, the feature film is also supported by the Nouvelle Aquitaine region and the Lot-et-Garonne department. It is worth noting that the score will be written by Danish composer Flemming Nordkrog. French distribution will be handled by Le Pacte and international sales by Indie Sales.
Karé Productions also produced the comedy Le sens de la famille by Jean-Patrick Benes, which will be released in French cinemas on 30 June, and is behind The Young Lovers by Carine Tardieu, currently in post-production (read the article - produced with Agat Films & Ex Nihilo).
