, Walkabout) will reprise her role as Roberta ‘Bobbie’ Waterbury from The Railway Children, made in 1970 by Lionel Jeffries, who also wrote the screenplay adaptation of Edith Nesbit's celebrated novel. ) and a new generation of Railway Children will also star in The Railway Children Return, written by BAFTA laureate Danny Brocklehurst. The Railway Children Return is being billed as an enchanting adventure for a new generation, bringing a contemporary sensibility to a classic story and combining the British cast with stunning locations. Produced by BAFTA winner Jemma Rodgers for the UK's StudioCanal, The Railway Children Return is scheduled to open in UK cinemas on 1 April 2022.
